“My family. Uh… my dignity. Probably that’s the worst for me. That’s probably the worst to cope with now… is what I put my mum and dad through, my sister, you know? Definitely. And I went back to my mum’s and she was at work so of course I went into my bedroom, um, obviously doing what I was doing. Next thing… I obviously… got it in my arm and the next thing, the door’s flung open, man, and it’s my mum and my mum is stood there and I’ve got a needle stuck out my arm, man. You know? I mean, she knew I was on drugs and she knew I was injecting but to actually see it… but she just honestly… I’ll never forget it. Never, ever in my life will I forget that. She just absolutely burst out crying. Like, honestly just… fell to the floor, fell on her knees… and all I done was turn ‘round and carry on. Because that’s all that mattered.”
